About the Course

In this lesson, learners will explore the importance of being organised in both their personal and academic lives. The session begins with a short starter activity to engage students, followed by clear objectives that outline what they are expected to achieve. Learners will complete two main tasks: planning a journey or activity while considering costs, time management, and methods of travel, and applying this to a holiday budget planner example. The lesson concludes with an assessment that reinforces key skills in organisation, budgeting, and planning for real-life situations.

Assessment Task: Planning a Trip to BETT in London

ScenarioYou and your classmates have been given the opportunity to attend the BETT Exhibition in London (ExCeL London). Your task is to plan the journey from your college to the event, making sure you organise travel, time, and expenses. You will also need to budget for meals and snacks during the trip.

    • UK Bus Checker – live bus timetables and route info

You must include start and end times, travel methods, and estimated duration of each leg of the journey.
