IT Job Search & Application Course

This interactive lesson helps learners explore where to search for IT jobs,
how to conduct an effective job hunt, and how to prepare the key
application documents: a CV, a digital portfolio and a personal
statement. The course lists ten of the most popular UK job search
websites with descriptions and links, provides guidance on job search
strategies such as setting up customised alerts and using recruitment
agencies, and offers step‑by‑step templates for
creating a professional CV, selecting portfolio
artifacts and drafting a concise personal
statement. Learners can
enter their details into each template and download the resulting
documents for use in job applications.

IT Work Experience & Digital Portfolio Course

This interactive web lesson guides learners through researching and preparing
for an IT‑focused work experience placement and building a digital
portfolio using Canva. Learners investigate potential placements,
prepare a CV and personal statement, log and reflect on their work
experience, and design an eight‑page portfolio website that showcases
their coursework and achievements. The portfolio design section covers
pages for Units 1, 2, 3, 13, 14 and 25 (based on the BTEC Information &
Creative Technology course), plus pages for "About Me", "CV/Qualifications"

This application is a researched list of twenty interview questions commonly asked for IT roles. The questions come from up‑to‑date articles and career resources (e.g., PDQ, Coursera, Schneider’s hiring blog and the where we work interview guide). Each question is followed by a brief note on what the interviewer might be trying to assess, with citations to authoritative sources.
